Strong Schools, Strong Students
  • Expand early literacy programs, high-impact tutoring, and intervention services to ensure all students are reading on grade level by third grade.

  • Increase access to STEM, career and technical education, and the arts so students have well-rounded learning experiences that prepare them for college and careers.

  • Promote culturally responsive teaching and inclusive curriculum so that every student feels seen, valued, and inspired to learn.

  • Advocate for consistent funding for classroom resources, ensuring students and teachers have what they need for success.

Supporting & Retaining Excellent Teachers
  • Competitive pay, loan forgiveness, and housing assistance to attract and retain top educators.

  • Stronger mentorship programs and professional development to ensure teachers feel supported, valued, and have opportunities for growth.

  • Smaller class sizes and reducing administrative burdens so teachers can focus on what they do best—teaching.

  • Diversity in hiring, ensuring that our teaching staff reflects the diverse backgrounds of the students they serve.

Equitable Resources for Every School
  • Ensure teachers, counselors, and support staff are placed where they’re needed most, prioritizing high-need schools.

  • Expand mental health services, school counselors, and social workers to support students dealing with trauma, stress, or social-emotional challenges.

  • Improve special education and multilingual learner services, ensuring students with diverse needs receive individualized support.

  • Secure additional funding and partnerships to provide updated learning materials, technology, and safe school facilities.

Amplifying Student & Family Voices
  • Strengthen student advisory roles to ensure that the Board hears directly from those impacted by its decisions.

  • Advocate for more transparency and communication between the district and families, so parents know what’s happening in their children’s schools.

  • Ensure that school board policies reflect real-life experiences of the students and families they impact.

  • Create more opportunities for parent engagement, from advisory councils to interactive town halls.

 Fiscal Responsibility & Community Collaboration
  • Push for transparent budgeting, making sure spending is aligned with student success priorities.

  • Engage families, teachers, and community members in budget and policy discussions to ensure decisions reflect their needs.

  • Seek grants, public-private partnerships, and new funding sources to increase resources without overburdening taxpayers.

  • Support data-driven decision-making, using research and student outcome metrics to guide investments in programs that work.

Amplifying Student & Family Voices
  • Stronger anti-bullying policies, with clear enforcement and proactive measures to protect students, especially those who are LGBTQIA+, students of color, immigrants, and refugees.

  • Expanding restorative justice practices to address discipline disparities and create a more supportive, less punitive school culture.

  • Investing in trauma-informed training for teachers and staff, ensuring that every student has adults who understand their emotional and behavioral needs.

  • Strengthening school climate initiatives, including student peer mentorship programs and leadership development.
